Swaying

Hasuhana knelt in the sand, facing the waves. Her eyes were closed as she swayed back and forth, enjoying the feeling of being alone on the beach with only animals and plants for company. Her flip flops lay a little ways away and she wore a sleeveless short sundress, her black hair fluttering out behind her in the sand. She opened her eyes and sighed contentedly as she felt the warm, salty smelling air and heard the sound of the gulls and the waves.

kraven walks onto the soft welcoming sand with his shoes and shirt off. the only time kraven could be caught unarmored is on a night such as this when he has finished training and is in a nostolgic mood. he slowly walks on the shore of the beach, feeling the wind blow in his face, the smell of sea salt filling his nostrils.

"hm?"

Kraven stops walking when he sees a woman about his age on the beach enjoying the scenery. he looks at her up and down and notices it is actually someone he has seen before.

"you..your that woman from the bar.."

kravens body gets in a somewhat defensive position

Hasuhana looked up curiously, and saw the hunter from the club. She gasped and scrambled back, looking around in dismay to see no nearby people. She looked back at him, fear flickering in her eyes. "Y-yes..." she said, her voice shaking slightly. "You're... t-that man... that a-attacked those others," she said. 'Oh no... oh no oh no oh no...'

kraven walks up to the woman slowly, and calmlyuntil he is within a few feet of her. he looks into her eyes for a brief moment and then speaks.

"i told you before, your not hostile..don't worry, i wont hurt you"

kraven was in a rare mood tonight. instead of being angry like he usually is, kraven seems to be more serene and calm. although he still seems troubled

Hasuhana whimpered slightly when he walked closer, but before she could scuttle father away he spoke, and she looked up at him, slight distrust in her eyes, but mostly curiosity. "W-what do you m-mean not hostile... of c-course I'm not h-hostile..." she said.

"yeah i know..why do you think i havent attacked you yet.."

Kraven then lies down on the ground, his bare back touching the warm sand. kraven looks at the star filled sky as the mist of the ocean touches his open chest.

"what's your name anyway woman"

Hasuhana swallowed hard at the word attack, and hugged her knees to her chest. She jumped slightly when he addressed her again, looking back at him. "S-Seishin Hasuhana," she said quietly. "W-what about you...?" she asked.

"kraven winnefield.."

Kraven continues to look at the stars. they remind him of a horrible time in his life. a time he wishes to forget but cant since it is what pushes him everyday. he then closes his eyes

"this is a beach..relax..have a seat.."

Hasuhana hunched over as she sat on the sand, looking nervously over at Kraven. "N-nice to meet you," she said automatically. "B-by the way... w-what were you doing in that c-club?" she asked, biting her lower lip.

Kravens eyes open momentarily when he hears hashuhanas question .they then close as he replies

"honestly, i had been informed that it was a place known for high supernatural activity. apparently the information was correct.. may i ask why you were in there? you dont seem to be the clubbing type"

"I... I d-don't normally... um... 'club'," she said. "I got m-mistaken for someone e-else and was kind of... s-steered in. And w-why would it matter i-if it was a place with h-high supernatural activity?" she asked, curious.

"i see.."

Kraven looks at hashuhana in the eyes for a moment. he debates in his head whether or not he should tell her the brutality of his job. even though she was abnormal , she seemed pure. since he wasnt in an angry mood, he decides to not be brutally honest.

"well, that activity converns my job. thats all.."

"J-job...? And a-activity...?" she asked, confused. "S-sorry to pry," she said quickly, realizing she might have been being rude. "I d-didn't mean to be r-rude."

"relax, your not..and as far as my job goes, just. just stay docile like you already are..and you wont have to worry about what my job is..so, am i correct in saying you go to that academy. narcissus i believe its called"

kraven breathes in the air slowly

'Docile... interesting...' she thought. She nodded. "Y-yes... N-Narcissus Academy... I'm a s-student," she said quietly. "D-do you... live a-around here?" she asked, trying to make what others had referred to as 'small talk'. She didn't particularly like it, but she was really concentrating on becoming more socially adept. It was harder then she had assumed it to be.

"hm?, oh yeah, i live in the city over on fourth street and ..."

Kraven pauses for a moment. even though this woman seemed completely pure and innocent, his hunter instincts were telling him not to reveal his residency to her. as anything could happen and that could end up being his downfall.

"i. live in the city. but ill be going to the academy this upcommin semester"

Hasuhana noted his hesitation, but let it be, thinking he just didn't trust her. "T-thats nice..." she commented about him going to the academy next semester. "P-pardon me but... a-are you... a h-human...?" she asked, a little confused. His display at the club had left her thinking he might be a kind of demon or a human with unusual powers.

kraven looks at the girl for a second. his brain is telling him it wouldnt hurt to tell her what he is but his instincts are telling him otherwise. he decides to go with the latter

"im a ..human. nothing more, nothing less.."

"Y-you seem to have... u-unusual abilities," she said, looking at him curiously. Then she blushed slightly. "I d-don't mean to p-pry though," she said, a little embarrassed.

kraven opens his eyes

"yes i.."

He then notices hasuhana starting to blush. he chuckles slightly

"i suppose you could say ive been blessed"

He closes his eyes

"what about you..whats it like to be of the woodfolk"

"It's... i-interesting. It c-can be peaceful... b-but at the same t-time very c-chaotic... the whole f-forest communion t-thing..." she said, smiling slightly. "B-but... we s-spend a lot of t-time climbing a-and things like t-that. Its v-very enjoyable."

"climbing huh..how quaint"

Kraven begins to wonder more about this communion

"so. what is the purpose of this..communion eh?"

Kraven says with his eyes still closed

"I s-suppose it is... q-quant," she said quietly. Then she looked back over at him. "Oh... w-well... w-woodfolk... we have a v-very close r-relationship with the f-forest... w-with nature in g-general. It's a-almost religious... t-the sort of d-devotion we have t-to it..." she said, fiddling with the edge of her skirt. "E-elves... we can c-communicate through our t-tribal leaders w-with the forest. S-sort of like y-your popes or d-dalai lamas... we r-refer to it as t-the communion. It e-enables us to l-learn what the forest n-needs, and i-it kind of bleeds i-into anything e-else we do," she said, chewing slightly on the inside of her cheek.

"hm.."

Kravens gets up and dusts some of the sand off of his chest.

"good to know"

Kraven then walks right up to hashuhana and gets in her face as one would for a kiss, but puts is mouth next to her ear instead. he whispers.

"ill be watching"

kraven then walks off

Hasuhana froze and swallowed hard. She watched him as he walked away, biting her lower lip hard, before looking back out at the horizon, and closing her eyes hard. "What on e-earth..."
